Session brief

The astronomical growth of social media such as Facebook and Twitter has had tremendous consequences on society. This is particularly true as the social media affects the way people relate, communicate, live their lives and even how they do business. This is thus an important session as it gives delegates an opportunity to engage with issues of the use and effects of social media. Delegates will share experiences and debate the use of social media in Africa, and the possible consequences they have on the societies and communities in Africa.
