dotAfrica is the new Top Level Domain (TLD) for the African continent: It is an African initiative created by Africans for Africans and the worldwide audience of companies, organizations and individuals interested in, associated with and connected to the African community and markets. Similar to what happens in other continents like .eu for Europ and .asia for Asia continent. Africa is a fast-growing economy, and active market with over one billion potential users of the Internet. It is also the next economy of the e-commerce boom. The dotAfrica TLD will enable governments, business and civil society to build brands, promote development and establish global long-term relationships with this market. The global objective is to get the community to become the dotAFRICA (.AFRICA)TLD early adopter.
