We would like to thank  the Autorité de Télécommunications/TIC de Côte d'Ivoire in collaboration with Internet Society (ISOC) Côte D'Ivoire for hosting AFRINIC-19.   

Presentation of ‘’Ministère de la Poste et des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication’’

The ‘’Ministère de la Poste et des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication’’ (MPTIC) of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire main task is to develop and implement the state policy in the field of Computer and telecommunications / ICT.

To accomplish this mission, the axis MPTIC priority actions based on access of all ICT services, security ecosystem of ICT, capacity building and development of a digital economy and local content.

 Presentation of ARTCI

The ‘’Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications/TIC de Côte d’Ivoire’’ (ARTCI) was established by Decree No. 2012-293 of 21 March 2012 after the merger of the ‘’Conseil des Télécommunications de Côte d’Ivoire’’ (SITC) and ‘’l’Agence des Télécommunications de Côte d’Ivoire’’ (ATCI).

As such, it is responsible for ensuring the function of regulating the telecommunications and ICT in particular by applying on behalf of the state laws and regulations governing the sector of Telecommunications / ICT.

Presentation of ISOC-CI

Internet Society Côte d’Ivoire (ISOC-CI) is an association of Ivorian law and is part of a network of 90 chapters of the Internet Society (ISOC), an international non-profit organisation.

The objectives of ISOC-CI revolve primarily around Internet promotion (development, evolution, usage) for the benefit of the State of Côte d'Ivoire and its people. Since January 2007, the date of its creation, we believe that technology standards, business practices, public and community interest related to Internet policy should support an open and universally accessible platform for innovation, creativity and economic opportunities. In this way, the Internet can improve the quality of life of people across the globe, particularly those living in Côte d'Ivoire.

Due to the nature of the Internet, we are committed to the side of all public actors such as the Ministry of Post and ICT Côte d'Ivoire, regional organisations such as AFRINIC to share technical expertise, work the policy, contribute to the education and capacity building and promoting community sharing.

These are the watchwords of our commitment to the success of AFRINIC 19!
