Improving Access: The State of Cable Infrastructure

Issues of Internet access and stability of continue have been central to the growth of the Internet around the world. Cable infrastructure and its role in the provision of a stable and reliable Internet have been central to these debates and this session will shade light into recent developments in this area. The session will examine cable infrastructure in Africa and tackle the challenges companies face in trying to provide Internet in the continent. The sessions will also deal with the opportunities available for Africa to improve the infrastructure as a way of providing stable and reliable Internet for business and social development.
