Work Experience/ Expertise/ Interests: McTim consults for African ISPs on IP resource issues, gives trainings and lectures on NSSEC, Internet Governance and Internet infrastructure development. Currently he¹s working for African Internet Infrastructure Consultant at Independent Consultant (self-employed).
His past work was Consultant in Bushnet Ltd., most recent full time job was with the European IP address registry RIPE NCC where he was an Internet Resource Policy Analyst and be able to watch and participate in Internet Governance firsthand. Also he was a Content Master at Logigo.com.
Has expertise in Internet Resource allocation and assignment, Reverse delegation, DNS, DNSSEC, routing, content management, writing for the web, Internet Governance.
Also interested in publishing documents and books, among his publishing credits exciting works such as Supporting Notes for the IPv6 End User Site Assignment Request Form (a RIPE document) and WSIS/WGIG IPv6 distribution issues in Africa for the book Africa and the WSIS: From Principles to Action. Perspectives from the Civil Society; he was also an ISOC WSIS Ambassador.
McTim has been online for over 20 years and has, amongst other things, been a content monkey, dot-bomb survivor and a dogwallah. |
