Statement: Haitham El-Nakhal, currently is working as a Senior Manager of Internet Policies & Technical Affairs department in National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA). He got his B.Sc. degree in communications engineering from Cairo University in 1998. Then he got his IT diploma in 1999 from Information Technology Institute. Since that, he worked in many organizations such as Information and Decision Support Center (Cabinet), TEDATA ISP, Ministry of communications and IT in the field of expanding IT and Internet access, and participate in developing ISPs regulations in Egypt. He operates and manages Cairo Internet Exchange Point (CAIX) and responsible of the Egyptian IPv6 task force. He usually attends AFRINIC meetings and participated in written a global policy proposal for last /8 in IANA pool and was a coChair for AFRINIC PDP-MG for three years. Also he is an active member in Arab region (North Africa and Middle East) for issues related to IGF, IPv6, and IXP, also participated in AfPIF meetings, ATU meetings and COMESA meetings. He has a solid experience in ISPs operation, IXP operation, telecom regulations and a broad experience in project management and leadership. Recently in 2012 he got his MBA from Nile University to complement his technical experience by the business administration knowledge and enhance his managerial skills. |
