Abstract - Internet insiders information

This will explain how basic protocols defined by Internet RFCs enable new network uses for the benefit of businesses and people in areas where connectivity and financial resources do not match market offerings.

Adopted by thousands of users, open roots are now part of the Internet landscape and provide access to new usages. The solution presented promotes linguistic diversity and access to content in local languages and scripts for all populations. We explain how Open Roots are already part of the Internet landscape, creating an open Internet, and how their use can allow easy adoption by people with multiple languages and on any media. With the Open Root concept creating domain names is no longer a cost center but becomes a source of creativity available to all in the Open Source spirit.

With Open Roots second level domain names are free for managers, and extensions (first level domain names or TLDs) are technically unconstrained.
