IPv6: Providing continuity and change

Dates:
19 June, 2013 - 09:00 - 12:30

IPV6 is billed as the answer to the changes experienced in the provision of the Internet and its future stability. This is based on the fact that the IPv4 pool is exhausted and will in future be no longer be available and enough for all the devices seeking to connect to the internet. Accordingly, this session addresses issues of IPv6 and its place in the development, sustainability and future of the Internet. Presenters and delegates will share experiences and knowledge on how to manage IPv6 to ensure continuity and stability.

Session 1

The session explores the current visibility of IPv6 in the region. It also examines its implications with respect to the predicted v4 depletion in a couple of years in the African region.

Session 2

This session is about v6 just enabled networks at the core but without any plans for stepping to the next level. In addition the session explores the operational parity between v4 and v6.
