Call for presentations

The Call for presentation is now closed. AFRINIC thanks you for submitting your presentation proposals. We shall notify the selected candidates by 05 October 2012. 

 



What to submit Please include the following :
  • Full Name
  • Email Address
  • Affiliation
  • Short biography
  • Title of Presentation
  • A detailed abstract or outline describing the presentation
  • Draft slides for the presentation (if ready/available)
  • Length of talk (minutes/hours/days)

  • Cyber Security
  • Internet Peering and Routing
  • Mobile networking
  • IXP
  • DNSSEC
  • RPKI
  • Internet governance

Important dates

  • Deadline for presentation proposal submissions - 23 September 2012
  • Notification of Acceptance of presentation proposal - 30 September 2012

 

Guidelines for submission

  • Presentations will be fifteen (15) to thirty (30) minutes in length, with approximately 10-15 minutes for Q&A at the end of each presentation.
  • The maximum time allotted per presentation should not exceed 45 minutes.
  • The presenter(s) will be required to submit their presentation in PDF format, 3 weeks prior to the presentation date.
  • Presentation facilities will need to be agreed upon, based on available resources on-site.
  • AFRINIC will provide the facility, tea/lunch breaks and sound/projector equipment.
  • Presenters are responsible for any handouts. There are typically approximately 200 delegates.
  • Tutorials can range from 90 minutes to half a day in length.
  • We do not encourage presentations with marketing and commercial content.
