NON-RESIDENTS: 
Local currency: XOF 10,000.- or equivalent in EUR.
Foreign currencies: the equivalent of XOF 25,000 (currency in excess of limit may be exported, provided declaration at time of entry has been made); Traveller's cheques, letters of credit unlimited, provided issued abroad in traveller's name.

RESIDENTS:
Local currency (CFA Franc-XOF): unlimited.
Foreign currencies: Euro - EUR: unlimited; other currencies: declaration required (currencies declared to be exchanged into XOF within 8 days).

NON-RESIDENTS:
Local currency: unlimited.
Foreign currencies: Euro - EUR: unlimited; other currencies: unlimited, but declaration of amount that will be exported when leaving.

Airport Embarkation Tax is levied on passengers embarking in Cote d'Ivoire from:

1. Abidjan airport for destinations:
 a. In Cote d'Ivoire: XOF 800
 b. In Africa: XOF 3,000
 c. Outside Africa: XOF 5,000

2. Any other airport for destinations:
 a. In Cote d'Ivoire: XOF 600
 b. In Africa: XOF 3,000
 c. Outside Africa: XOF 5,000

Place of payment: Airport of departure.

Baggage is cleared at the airport of the final destination in Cote d'Ivoire, provided this is an international airport. 
Exempt: baggage of transit passengers with a destination outside of Cote d'Ivoire, which is transferred automatically to the other aeroplane.

Cats and dogs accompanying passenger may enter without import licence. Must hold rabies inoculation certificate and good health certificate, dated no earlier than 3 days before travel commenced and issued by health authorities at point of origin. Health certificate must indicate that no contagious disease (including rabies) has existed in that territory during the previous 6 weeks. An import licence is required in addition to above certificates for cats and dogs not accompanying passenger, and for all other pets. Exempt are: animals originating from the following countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Central African Rep., Chad, Congo, France, Gabon, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal; certificates as in a. above are sufficient.

Free import by tourists over 15 years of age:
1. 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 25 cigars or 250 grammes of tobacco;
2. 1 bottle of wine and 1 bottle of spirits;
3. 1/2 litre of eau de toilette er and 1/4 litre of perfume.

Restrictions: For personal use only passengers are allowed to import a video camera. The camera must be declared on arrival and a deposit must be paid, which will be returned to the passenger upon departure. Video cassettes are subject to customs duties.

All travellers entering Cote d'Ivoire are required to present a certificate of immunization against yellow fever. Infants, younger than 1 year of age, are not required to get immunization.
