			<description><![CDATA[<div class="feed-description"><p style="text-align: justify;">The AFRINIC-19 programme committee seeks speakers from all regions to deliver presentations during plenaries on a number of Internet related topics such as:</p>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>IPv4 / IPv6 Routing and operations</li>
<li>IPv6 deployment and transition technologies</li>
<li>Internet backbone operations</li>
<li>ISP and Carrier services</li>
<li>Network security issues (NSP-SEC, DDoS Anti-Spam, Anti-Malware)</li>
<li>Peering / IXPs</li>
<li>DNS / DNSSEC</li>
<li>Research on Internet Operations and Deployment</li>
<li>Internet policy (Security, Regulation, Content Management, Addressing, etc)</li>
<li>Access and Transport Technologies, including broadband deployment, Cable/DSL, wireless, WiMax, metro ethernet, fiber network, MPLS</li>
<li>Content &amp; Service Delivery (Multicast, Voice, Video, "telepresence", Gaming)</li>
<li>Internet Goverance</li>
</ul>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What to submit?</strong></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Your proposal should contain the following information:</p>
<ul>
<li>Full Name</li>
<li class="_mce_tagged_br">Email Address</li>
<li class="_mce_tagged_br">Affiliation</li>
<li class="_mce_tagged_br">Short biography</li>
<li class="_mce_tagged_br">Title of Presentation</li>
<li class="_mce_tagged_br">A detailed abstract or outline describing the presentation draft slides for the presentation</li>
<li class="_mce_tagged_br">Length of talk</li>
</ul>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Guidelines</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Your submission should be sent via our online form.&nbsp;</p>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>Presentations will be fifteen (15) to thirty (30) minutes in length, with approximately 10-15 minutes for Q&amp;A at the end of each presentation.</li>
<li>The maximum time allotted per presentation should not exceed 45 minutes.</li>
<li>The presenter(s) will be required to submit their presentation in PDF format, 3 weeks prior to the presentation date.</li>
<li>Presentation facilities will need to be agreed upon, based on available resources on-site</li>
<li>AFRINIC will provide the facility, tea/lunch breaks and sound/projector equipment.</li>
<li>Presenters are responsible for any handouts. There are typically approximately 150-180 delegates.</li>
<li>Tutorials can range from 90 minutes to half a day in length.</li>
<li>We do not encourage presentations with marketing and commercial content.</li>

<li>Call for papers closes on 29 August 2013&nbsp;</li>
<li>Notification of acceptance on 5 September 2013</li>
<li>Submission of presentations slides on 27 September 2013</li>
<li>Deadline for submission of final presentation slides on 22 October 2013</li>

<h2>What do we look for in proposals?</h2>
<p>Each year we look for new, quality driven content for conference sessions and workshops that will actively engage participants. We accept proposals between August and &nbsp;October. The Conference Programme Committee then assesses all proposals before providing feedback and outcomes by end of September. &nbsp;</p>
<p>The Programme Committee&nbsp;(PC) looks for proposals that:</p>
<ul>
<li>Link to the conference topics</li>
<li>Explore trends and developments in the field</li>
<li>Share best practices and innovative solutions</li>
<li>Examine topics that evoke discussions</li>
</ul>
